A voicemail without a readable record is just a phone number you have to call back. Analese records each voicemail, shows provider transcription as pending, available, unavailable, or failed, and adds a one-paragraph summary when summarization succeeds. Your team can triage the dashboard record and recording state instead of losing the message in a stack of audio files.
What you get
- A dashboard record on every plan — transcript availability is shown honestly as pending, available, unavailable, or failed.
- Email summary + on-call notification on Team and Multi-location — the summary lands in your team inbox, and the on-call contact gets a notification.
- Hand-off readiness — when summarization succeeds, your team has the gist of the voicemail before the caller goes cold.
- No audio scrubbing — the dashboard holds the recording for later reference, but the queue is organized by summary, not duration.
How the pipeline runs
- 01Caller leaves a voicemail after the AI answers (timeout or queue full).
- 02The audio is sent through the receptionist transcription path; the dashboard preserves the provider result instead of claiming a transcript when none is returned.
- 03A one-paragraph summary is generated and attached to the contact record.
- 04On Team and Multi-location: /api/receptionist/voicemail fans the summary out to your team email and the on-call contact for the location.
- 05Your team replies to the email with a one-click handoff, or picks up the contact in the dashboard.
A buyer question: what shows up in the email?
The contact name, the contact number, the captured reason for calling, and the summary paragraph generated from the transcript. The on-call contact for the location gets a separate notification with a deep link into the dashboard, so a single tap takes them from the email to the underlying transcript. On Solo, the same summary lands in the dashboard but the email fan-out is gated behind Team and Multi-location — the in-dashboard view is enough on its own at low call volume.
A buyer question: how fast does the summary land?
When provider transcription and summarization are available, the pipeline completes within minutes of the caller hanging up. Pending, unavailable, and failed provider states remain visible in the dashboard, so a truck roll or office emergency is not hidden behind an overconfident transcription claim.
